After working with Citrix products for many years and being part of the it community as good as I can, I have been nominated as a CTA two years ago. Being elected as a member of the CTP family now honors me and feels like being rewarded for what I do every day. Thanks to everyone who helped me and let’s keep the community spirit going! Cheers, Carsten

I’m thrilled and truly honored to receive my first Citrix CTP Achievement. It has been always a dream for me to be part of this great community – or better say one big family of 50 passionated people spread over the Globe. Blogging and presenting my passion for innovated technologies on public events – and my personal blog http://christiaanbrinkhoff.com is something that I’m really enjoy to do. “Follow Your Passion and You Will Never Work a Day in Your Life” Is one of the most important quotes to fulfill this. I’m really looking forward to 2018 and Citrix Synergy! Where do we meet?

We have all been there, the stress will build up and you will be trying to fix a problem you have never come across before. Hours, days maybe months could be spent resolving a problem. Sooner or later you will find a solution and breath a sigh of relief. After all that work it came down to a tick box. Years pass, and the same issue comes up and guess what – You forgot to write the fix down! It is to this end community sharing is so important. Passing on knowledge and being helpful so others can benefit from your experience. I personally have relied on such charitable problem solvers for years and often wondered what compelled these people to write such articles. A couple of years ago a colleague gave me a nudge in the right direction and I decided to write a blog. I thought why not let others benefit from this and things expanded from there. Fast forward on and I am now a CTP (Citrix Technology Professional.) Citrix have recognized those individuals who have provided to the community in various ways and decided to give back. I now will get to work with those people who provided me with those answers over the web and have an invaluable network of peers I can rely on. To top this off I will gain deeper insight into Citrix strategies and technologies, including advance knowledge of planned projects and priority to technical support. I am truly honored and feel like Charlie with his Golden Ticket. (If you are wondering about the colleague that gave me the nudge, it was fellow CTP Dave Brett)
I was thrilled to hear that I was awarded CTP status for 2018 after putting in a lot of work over the year of 2017 and having plenty of community success over the last 12 months publishing scripts, tips and tricks that have to date been well received. Becoming a CTP has been the pinnacle of my Citrix career to date! From the moment you enter the program you realise that you have joined a bunch of friendly, supportive and encouraging people whom I look forward to working alongside with in 2018 doing what we do best, and hoping to attend Synergy, where I can meet most of the other CTPs I’ve got to know online!

Very honored to be named as a CTP, I have to confess, very surprised also! I feel like I’ve got to push very hard and learn as much as possible from such a technically outstanding peer group, because opportunities like this don’t come along very often. Also, the chance to collaborate with members of the group and with Citrix themselves on projects, content and services is very exciting. I’m completely stoked!

Humbled is the number one word that comes to mind when I think about getting chosen to be a Citrix CTP. It was a Taco Tuesday, a tradition in our house, and I just finished getting everything ready. I was eating with my two kids and opened up my laptop and saw the email. My first reaction was “no way.” With so many names of greatness, it just seems a little unreal to have my name in the mix with those before me. I’m also very excited to help do what I can to help secure Citrix deployments all over the world. From normal Citrix Nerd to a CTA and then to a CTP. It is a Citrix Nerd’s Dream come true for sure.

I am humbled and honored to be selected as a CTP. I have long regarded the CTP group as the most elite of all industry expert groups. To be one of only 50 chosen for 2018 is among my greatest life accomplishments and I can’t wait to get started!
