Arnaud Pain

I am glad and proud to join the CTP community, or should I say “family”, as I already know most of them.
I have many people to thank for this award. Most importantly, my family, for allowing me to spend so much personal time working and traveling on different projects (events, presentations, blogging, etc.).
I am sure we will have many things to share this year, and I am looking forward to meeting every one of the CTPs at Citrix Synergy in May, or before for some of them.

It’s still surreal… Since I was lucky enough to be one of the first CTA’s when that program was launched, I aspired to go to the next level and get into the CTP program. I applied but honestly never expected to be selected as there are so many really awesome people in the community. I was stunned when I saw the email, kept reading it over and over again. The reality of it is slowly sinking it. Very excited for the year ahead to work and collaborate with some absolute legends and to push myself to take my own community contributions to the next level!

Trentent Tye

Senior Citrix Technical Expert
@TrententTye – theorypc.ca
Honestly, I’m in a bit of shock. Total impostor syndrome right now.
But I’m absolutely thrilled that the community has decided I’m worthy enough of the distinction. Over the last few years I’ve forged relationships online and then finally met up with some of these personalities at Synergy. Meeting and talking with people have driven me to explore questions and topics I wouldn’t have thought of on my own. These are things that I thrive on.
I feel very lucky right now to be able to say I’m a CTP.

First, between the Member of the Month for CUGC for March and being accepted into the Citrix CTP program within the same week, it is incredibly humbling and a bit overwhelming to be honest. I was actually in meetings in Kansas City with Dave Brett and Shane Kleinert at the time I found out. They were wondering all day when I would check my email to see if I was accepted; guess I wasn’t making it easy…. I had checked but was apparently checking my business email and forgot to check my personal account which is what is tied to my CTA/CTP memberships. So it wasn’t until maybe the end of the day when I realized it and checked that account. It was pretty cool being in the same room with those two current CTPs talking shop when I received the congratulation email. First thought especially with looking at everything those guys do is wondering how I can make the same waves and have a similar impact. It’s always a matter of wondering if we measure up you know?
Second, it was a bit of sadness leaving the CTA program as I have been a part of the pilot group for the CTA program a few years ago and figuring it all out since I know I will miss that as well. I really hope to be able to stay on and help/interject, etc. on that side as it is an incredible team that I really enjoy being a part of.
Third, it was to quickly make sure my schedule for Synergy already had me flying in early enough to catch my first official CTP meeting as a CTP. We had a combined CTA/CTP meeting last year, but this would be my first as a CTP. Anyway, very glad to be here and hoping to represent well :).

The news reached me while riding my Snowboard in Whistler, BC, another passion of mine. I’m very honored and humbled to be part of this outstanding group of peers, many of them I’m following for years already. To be named as a Citrix CTP is definitely something I didn’t expect and a big surprise to me. Even more I’m looking forward to an interesting and, from what I heard already, a quite intense year ahead. I’m completely stoked!

When I get home from work, I always before dinner, I have a habit of taking the time to respond to forums and emails. That’s when I came upon a happy surprise. I confess it was exciting when I read the email for the first time and I could not believe it. I feel extremely happy and honored with the CTP designation. Last year I got more involved with the community and I saw how much I could contribute and learn from my colleagues. I would like to thank the opportunity to be part of this selected group of professionals. I am very excited and I hope to contribute even more to the community.

The past year has been a very busy and enjoyable, going outside of my comfort zone presenting and being more visible in the community. Community is everything, the power of many is undeniable and to be recognised and awarded as a CTP is far beyond humbling. The CTP group is full of legends in our industry, some of which I am lucky enough to call friends. A program that is rich with not just experience and knowledge, but a top bunch of like minded professionals who do what they do in the community purely because they like to share and help others grow. Nothing beats that in my book.
Didn’t see this coming, but stoked and looking forward to cracking into it. I’m lucky enough to join the program with an amazing bunch of well deserving lads!

Dennis Span

Senior System Engineer at Generali Shared Services
@dennisspan – dennisspan.com
I have always benefited tremendously from the knowledge shared in the EUC community. Two years ago, I started to give back by sharing my own knowledge and scripts on my blog https://dennisspan.com. Since then, I published various articles, spoke at international events and received my first community recognition as a Citrix CTA. And now to become a Citrix CTP is beyond words. I am absolutely thrilled to work so closely with the amazing people that make up the CTP program after having looked up to them for so many years. It has been quite a ride so far, but I have a feeling that the real journey is just about to begin.

In the 11 years I’m in the industry I’ve learned so much from this group: Blogs, YouTube video’s, conferences (the bar usually 😉) often without knowing they are a CTP. And one thing has always amazed me: They’re always willing to help, share or discuss. I’m happy and surprised to be considered part of this group and can’t wait to see how I can help YOU!
